Manchester City are very close to signing Elliot Anderson

Manchester City are very close to signing Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest in a record-breaking deal that could reach £130 million.

Previously, the Etihad Stadium team had submitted two offers to buy the English star, both rejected by Nottingham Forest. The most recent offer exceeded £120 million.

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis wants to receive around £130 million and hopes to receive most of the transfer fee upfront.

The City Ground admitted that it was unlikely the deal would fall through, as the difference between the two clubs was no longer so great and negotiations were close to a final agreement.

As soon as Nottingham Forest gives the green light, Manchester City plans to have Anderson undergo a medical examination in the United States, where the 23-year-old midfielder is currently with the England national team at the 2026 World Cup.
