Bernardo Silva reaches agreement with Real Madrid
Real Madrid have reached an agreement to sign Bernardo Silva, in a deal that progressed with remarkable speed. According to Fabrizio Romano, negotiations began just 36 hours before a full agreement was reached between the club, the player, and all parties involved.
The midfielder, who is due to leave Manchester City when his contract expires at the end of this month, is now ready to begin a new chapter in Spain after several successful years at the Etihad Stadium. Mourinho, recently appointed for a second spell at the Santiago Bernabéu, reportedly identified Silva as a priority.
An agreement has been reached for a two-year contract with an option to extend for a further year, with José Mourinho playing a key role in the transfer.
