French defender Jérémy Jacquet officially signed for Liverpool in a deal finalized on July 1, 2026.
The transfer cost the Reds around £60 million (approximately €70 million), making it the most expensive sale in Rennes’ history. Jacquet signed a long-term contract running for five seasons until June 2031 with an option to extend for an additional year.
The 20-year-old, a France Under-21 international, had a deal lined up as early as January 2026 but remained at Rennes until the end of that European season. He now officially joins the Liverpool squad for the start of pre-season training, wearing the number 5 shirt.
